School Sports Program

The Australian Government's School Sports Program is a national initiative that provides primary school children with access to free sport and other structured physical activity programs in the after-school time slot of 3.30pm to 4.45pm.

The program aims to engage children in sport and other structured physical activities and through a positive and fun experience, develop a love of sport that inspires them to join a local sporting club.

The cornerstone of the School Sports Program is the involvement of the local community in the delivery of the program. This involvement will offer opportunities to support and strengthen community cohesion and development.

In 2012 Dingley Primary won the best AASC site in the state. We won this award because of the variety of programs offered and the frequency of programs.

Each term two sports are selected: one for students in Years Prep-2 and another for students in Years 3-6. This year the number of spaces has increased. Please make sure you return your expression of interest slip as soon as possible as places fill quickly.
